Beauvoir Table
The women of Beauvoir, a ladies’ sorority at the D.R.V. Euros rowing club, were in dire need of an upgrade for their bar table. Determined to meet their needs, I crafted a robust and gracefully designed bar table. The project posed an interesting challenge due to the numerous compound angles required for the table legs. Leveraging my compound table saw and the precision of a 3D printer, I swiftly tackled the task, ensuring the angles were just right.
As a finishing touch, I incorporated their motto at the base of the table: “On n’existe pas sans faire,” which translates to “We don’t exist without doing.” This sentiment resonates with me. Although I haven’t acquired a CNC router (yet 😉), I meticulously carved the letters by hand using a router. To create a template, I glued paper with the lettering onto the wood.
